See that dish up there? That is a big old childhood memory for me. Proust had his Madeleines, and yeah, I’ve baked those. Virginia Woolf had her Cottage Bread. Been there, baked that. Emily Dickenson, loved gingerbread and treasured her recipe. I had to try it, so I did. I even baked some ancient Roman cheese cakes in honor of my heritage.
